Zurich, October 4, 2022 – Hitachi Energy, the global technology and market leader in power grids, today announced the introduction of two advanced services as part of its EconiQ™ portfolio: EconiQ™ Consulting and EconiQ™ Implementation, reinforcing its purpose to advancing a sustainable energy future for all.
EconiQ™ is Hitachi Energy's eco-efficient portfolio for sustainability, where products, services and solutions are proven to deliver exceptional environmental performance. The Company is now complementing its offering with additional services to help reduce the carbon footprint of energy systems and other critical industry segments that power, move and connect the world to lower environmental impact.
EconiQ™ Consulting develops and provides strategic insights to guide companies reach their environmental targets while maintaining or improving their operations. EconiQ™ Implementation, meanwhile, builds sustainability practices into daily business routines.
"We have placed sustainability at the heart of our purpose. "Our EconiQ™ Consulting and EconiQ™ Implementation services are evidence of our deep sense of social responsibility to enhance customer journey to reduce environmental impact, increase energy efficiency and future-proof technology investments."
EconiQ™ Consulting utilizes Hitachi Energy's domain knowledge of energy systems as well as local market requirements and standards to find sustainable solutions in many different sectors, including renewables, industries and data centers, and transportation. The main goal is to help customers make informed and strategic decisions to manage and plan power capacity, enhance security and improve productivity as they work to overcome the increased complexity of managing today's energy systems.
EconiQ™ Implementation provides, meanwhile, a detailed mapping of the CO2 equivalent emissions of services and project activities of customers, therefore increasing awareness and optimizing execution to reduce impact, as well as compensating the remaining footprint. The result is clear insights into the environmental impact in order to make more sustainable choices when defining asset maintenance strategy.
